Tech Points: 3684 From: USA Posted:9/15/2009 8:47:00 AM # 2 Which OS system are you using? If it's XP that creates more of a problem.
If you install Vista or 7 all of your drivers should be installed during the installation (tested on P4P800- E Deluxe). When you get back to the desktop run Windows Update and install the latest drivers. Then run an app like Driver Genius to extract the drivers so you'll always have them. Even with XP, Driver Genius can update your uninstalled drivers. I did a Google and couldn't find much on the P4P800 MX/S so you'll have to be creative.

Hi, There are basically 2 reasons why USB ports will not work besides being faulty.
The drivers are not installed (inf files) 2. The ports on certain motherboards can be disabled in the CMOS or BIOS setup. To check if the USB drivers are installed you can open control paneldevice manager.
Scroll down to 'Universal serial bus controllers and make certain these are present and installed correctly. Also make sure your USB device is functioning properly by plugging in to a USB port on a different computer.
Please let me know if you need any further assistance. Best wishes, Graemevm Answered on Jan 09, 2012. First check your monitor with a known working computer, does the small fan blow air?
Know problems include defective motherboards and or power supplies. We find if you have animals, especially cats, the dander is drawn into the machine and rests on the video card. The moisture is held in the fibers and causes the system failure. When repaired, check the system several times a month to estimate the accumulation. Clean the system by compressed air, vacuuming or what ever methods are available. Good Luck. Answered on Dec 02, 2011.
